8/24/06 I Want Candy
Carmen has been quite the cameo queen over the past few years. She has just wrapped up shooting I Want Candy in London, where she has the title role. She talks a bit about the movie in the latest Vegas magazine: "It's about a group of British filmmakers who are trying to get funding for their movie, and they see a poster featuring an adult-film star named Candy. So they lie to these investers and say they can get Candy to star. They basically have to find me and convince me to do the film, but it turns out that the script is a lot better than all the movies I'd previously done- better than all the movies I'd done as Candy, I mean."
8/10/06 Carmen Files for Divorce
Carmen filed for divorce in LA today, citing irreconcilable differences.She requests that their assets be divided as specified in their prenuptial agreement and that the court not award spousal support to either party. This is just two days after the Dave Navarro/Jenna Jameson rumor broke. More info at People.
8/02/06 New Ritz Spokesperson
It's just been anounced in this story that Carmen Electra has been signed on as the new spokesperson for Ritz Camera. Soon her own photographs will be viewable on their site. There will be a limited edition poster sold in the stores (and online) to raise money for "Head of Hollywood" which helps children with brain cancer.
7/18/06 Carmen & Dave Separate
So sad, but true. Their rep, Jill Fritzo (some stories are naming the rep as Brit Reese (?)), released a very brief statement yesterday, saying they are "amicably separating." There have been rumors of trouble for the past 5 months, but they have both denied having problems all this time. There are several articles with speculation and gossipy tidbits, which of course must be taken with a grain of salt. people.com, E! Online.
6/6/06 Handbag Made By Carmen for Charity Auction
Carmen has taken part in a charity event run by Aveda to raise money for the Natural Resources Defense Council. It's a cute little cotton bag that she decorated herself. You can find it here on eBay!
5/30/06 New Book Deal for Carmen
According to this article
Carmen has a new book called "How To Be Sexy". It was just sold by
Literary Group agent Frank Weimann to Broadway Books. No word yet on
when it will be out.
5/11/06 Carmen Stars in Joan Jett Video
Carmen
apparently met Joan Jett at the Lesbian festival she took part in last
month. Now she's starring in her latest music video for the song
"A.C.D.C.", which was filmed in New York on Tuesday and Wednesday. The
plot has Carmen unable to decide if she wants to be with a man or a
woman (the woman being Jett). Should be very interesting! (hi-res)

New Clothing line and Parfume in the works
Carmen has revealed in this article
for the Toronto Metro News that she's got a clothing line (casual wear-
jeans, t-shirts, sleepwear, workout clothes and Lingerie) that's being
factory produced as we speak. She's also doing a perfume, which she's
still in the process of refining. She's currenty trying to decide on a
name for the line.
Scary Movie 4 Shatters Records
Scary
Movie 4 debuted at number #1, shattering Easter weekend records by
grossing over $41 million. Hmmm, Scary
Movie/Carmen/record-breaking...I'm getting that deja vu feeling! It's
not suprizing that Carmen's part required her to lose her clothes, but
she also got to indulge in some disgusting toilet humor, which she
talked about recently: "My manager had said that one of the producers
from 'Scary Movie 4' needed to talk to me because they had made some
changes in the scenes. So I thought they'd cut me out. Then when they
told me what they had done with the scene I was a little shocked at
first. Then I laughed about it. The producer reassured me that when
they tested the scene the audiences were rolling about in the aisles.
So I thought, 'OK, someone has to do the potty humor, why not let it be
me?' So I'm a good sport about it." Max Factor Campaign
Carmen's commercial for Max Factor is all over the place and can always
be seen durring American Idol. The print ads are currently in all the
womens magazines. There was recently some hoopla when Max Factor
publicly stated that her contract is under review because of her
"raunchy" behavior on the Howard Stern show. A lot of male fans rushed
to downloaded the clip, only to be disappointed by how innocent it
really was. There hasn't been anymore statements by Max Factor, but
Carmen did say a little: "I didn't do anything vulgar. It was a chair,
I sat on a vibrating chair."
Bomshell Babes Still Going Strong
Carmen
and the Bombshell Babes performed at the Dinah Shore Golf Classic in
Palm Springs, which was part of a lesbian festival. She mentioned how
much she loved looking out at a sea of out of control girls in the
audience, and now she only wants to perform for lesbians.
